On January 6th 2017 we lived one of the most wonderful adventures: our reMARKable Caribbean Cruise! I had planned a fabulous project, never done or taught before using my very own unique “Remarkable Fabric Weaving” method.

I’ve been teaching this technique for a while and the ladies that went on my cruise wanted to learn how I do my weaving, however the method itself wasn’t going to be enough to keep our reMARKable ladies “sew busy”… That’s why I designed a very fun, interesting and easy to make project especially for the 30 ladies in our cruise.

I gave everybody the option to bring their own choice of colors so that each project would represent each artist. I arranged some color schemes for some of the ladies depending on what they wanted. We had four fun days at sea (that means we were sewing all day!) four wonderful ports of call (Labadee Haiti, Curacao, Bonaire and Aruba). As a travel agency, CrafTours made sure everybody was being taken care of. They spoiled us with BRAND NEW Janome machines and I can’t begin to tell you how fun it was. Ryan (our sewing machine guy) made the sewing room available everyday from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm so that the ladies could have some extra time to sew and finish their project.

The cruise itself was so much fun. I got to reconnect with old friends and met some wonderful new ones. They came from all over the states to spend the time of their lives and together we have managed to create memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you ladies for coming!
